Just Val d'Isere

The TVA (VAT) is now lower than last year, it used to be 19,6%, it is now 5,5%. Some restaurants are lowering their prices, to help their clients in this poor economic climat. Keep an eye on the blue sign, it will inform you that the place is “playing the game” fairly, in passing on the saving of a lower rate of VAT. At the Clochetons restaurant they participate fully in the project. A cafe which used to be 2.20€ is now 1.90€, every little help!

The Grande Ourse in summer!

The Grande Ourse is open this summer! This restaurant is well known to generations of skiers in Val d’Isere. The famous plat du jour attracts skiers an non skiers every day at lunch time during the winter. To help the dynamic of Val d’Isere in summer, the Grande Ourse has decided to open. Great plat du jour, lovely terrace, friendly service, if you are around this summer, it is a good choice for lunch and evening.
