Near the SPAR supermarket, On the same spot, there is a restaurant and a bar underneath. It is a good place to start the evening, you can eat from 7 pm till late. You will feel welcome by a friendly efficient staff.
Prices: A meal with a drink cost around 35€, some dishes are surprisingly original. Cocktails around 8€, ask the frozen Margarita at 5€.

A good mix of local people, tourists, young Brits working for the season or just here for a skiing holiday. Underground is a good place to start the evening. There is a bit of a New York atmosphere, pool tables, a darts corner, beer sold in pints. Being spacious you can either talk comfortably sitting in a sofa or go dancing when the DJ’s starts around 10.30pm. With your drinks you can try the different easy to eat boards, cheese, ham, duck (around 15€)

In the lovely Hamlet of the Laisinant, La Becca is a 15 min walk or a bus ride away from Val d’Isere’s centre. The chef Anthony Tempesta offers a sophisticated menu in the evening. We have never heard people being disappointed. Some dishes are truly original, some are great classics, over all the cooking is professional and of high standards. Mr Scaraffiotti’s restaurant is situated in what used to be his family house until 1992. The story began in 1920 when his father came with his family from lake Orto in Piedmont ( Italy) to work in Val d’Isere..He never left. The famous ski race “La Scara.” is held every year in memory of his brother who died in an avalanche in 1978.

The quality of the food is the main reason to come here but there are other interesting feature like the corner to play for the little ones so mum and dad can eat in peace! Everyday there is different suggestion (26€ to 32€ for a Main course +Pudding which is highly recommended. The pizzas are home made with a thin crust (11€ to 16€). You can order local specialties; fondues, tartiflette, black pudding with apple from 17€ to 20€, but also a rib of beef or a rib steak (58€ for 2 and 24€). All soups are home made served with cheese and croutons. We could go on and on as there is a varied carte and every dish is a good choice. If you wish to celebrate an occasion or just to be just with your friends, there a VIP room.
