    Trip to Spitzberg

    June 22nd, 2010

    SPITZBERG SKI TOURING

You will be staying on the same boat used in Norway, she is well adapted to sailing in the North. The boat is used as a refuge and every day moves to an other location. This is the only time of the year where it is possible to approach the coast otherwise frozen.

With some luck you will encounter walrus, whales, and seals
It is an exceptional trip in an exceptional environment..
The biggest island of the archipelago, the name means ” sharp mountains”. On the island the Svalbard Global Seed Vault (an enormous fridge) is keeping samples of seeds from all over the world.
This expedition is open to fit and good skiers. Price 2290€/week.

Val d’isere and the national park

    June 10th, 2010

The flora in the Vanoise National Park is diverse and beautiful. As well as the edelweiss you will find primrose, twinflowers, lady’s sleepers and many other specimen of alpine flora.

All creatures associated with the Alps live in the park: Chamois, marmots, bouquetins (Ibex), eagles, hares, foxes and many others….Since the creation of the park the population of marmots has increased from 3,000 to 12,000! They look like over sized guinea pigs, dig underground galleries , live in large family groups, whistle and sunbathe.

    A mountain of activities

    June 4th, 2010

There is a different program adapted to each age group, each week is packed with activities related to alpine sports. Climbing, via-ferrata, walking on glaciers, rafting, canyoning, orientaring, tree climbing courses….

The young participants discover the mountains in summer but also their aptitude at doing physical activities, the necessity to help each other, and an understanding of the surroundings. It helps them to feel more confident as they discover their new talents. But above all they will have a great week full of fun.
Shame there is not a week specially designed for the mothers.

The first week: 8th August for the 8 to 11 years old.
The second week: 15th August for the 12 to 14 years old.

    Children are happy…in Val d’Isere

    June 1st, 2010

It is really an ideal destination, many activities for all ages (including the adults). Tennis camps, circus school, fencing, riding, skate park, football, rugby, dance lessons, fitness, hip hop, archery, mountain bike, golf…..and all sports related to mountains…..

The magic is that children can come and go on their own to practice the activity of their choice.

They can walk in the village to by an ice cream or a magazine, there is no stress for the parents and the kids love their freedom.

At the Manchet Sport Park where most of the action happened  there is no need in carrying money, there is no need of a car, all is needed is this Pass-sport to all activities.
Be different this summer, forget the expensive and crowded sea sides to join the fun and sporty atmosphere of Val d’Isere?
