Beeper Training/Practice
It is a good thing to be well equipped but one needs to know how to use the equipment under stress when necessary. The survival chances for a buried skier reduce greatly after 15 minutes. For that reason the only way to improve is to practice and practice again.
For many years, Henry has been running courses teaching people to go hors piste safely, this practical training is really necessary if you are seriously thinking about venturing off the pistes.
When, where, how much?
- Every Wednesday at 2 pm.
- At the top of the Bellevarde, (you can arrive by the Funival or the Olympic lift,) the meeting is at the pisteur’s hut.
- 35€ the session, all equipment is provided but if you own a transceiver, please bring it.
- Ideally book in advance at Jean Sport (opposite the Moris Bar) or book on line: henrysavalanchetalk.com/on_snow_training.html

“The beeper training has been improved over the years to ensure you can acquire the necessary skills very quickly. Equipped with this training you can organise your own practice sessions to continue improving your speed at finding a buried transceiver. The size of a group is restricted to six people per instructor; this ensures you get plenty of personal attention and sufficient time to practice your skills.
