    Skiing for disabled

    Handicapped ski equipment

At the ESF there is a section for the handicapped, called handiski. Special chairs, made in Saint Remy de Maurienne, a local company called Tessier, manufacture them. These chairs allow skiing without the use of legs. If you want to be inspired, have a look at the amazing video of handicapped skiers heliskiing in Russia. See www.dualski.com

The instructors are specially qualified in teaching people with disabilities and achieve magical results with patience and dedication. They really want the young (and not so young) handicapped to feel the same exhilaration as any other skier.
